I was wondering if anyone has ever done a boxing theme cake. I can't seem to find a boxing cake kit . I could make boxing gloves out of fondant, since I can't find the cake kit. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,teddybearmom
Hi. I have done a boxing cake. I ended up doing an edible image of some boxing gloves. The picture is in my photos. If you do not have access to an edible image I would think you could do a BCT or a gel transfer. You could also make a pattern and cut the gloves from fondant. Good luck

I went to a Food Network Challenge and The Cake Diva ( I forgot her real name) made a boxing themed cake. In fact, that show will hasn't been on the air yet but will be soon I'm told. ( Sports Cake Challenge)
Anyway, look for the photo of her cake under the "Events" forum under Food Network Challenge, Phoenix, AZ.
It was mostly all fondant but it may give you some ideas.

I Made a boxing cake for my daughter last month,
It was a 9 inch square cake on a half sheet.
I made a boxing ring using 4bubble tea straws for the posts and licorice whips for the ropes, Then I
went on google and got pictures of her favorite boxers(in the ring) and one of a referee, I printed them on a frosting sheet,(Ialso made a mirror image of each, Istuck each one on a sugar cookie,
and the mirror image on the back. then I made 12
lollipops and did images 1 inch high of famous faces
and stuck the faces on the lolipops ,then I put them
around the ring to look like an audience . Then I
just put toothpicks in the bottom of the cookies so I could pose the boxers, then I wrote ''Happy Birthday Fight Fan!! on one side of the sheet cake.
My daughter got such a kick out of it, But I have to
say I was making it up as I went along. (I also watched Rocky and took notes to get the ring right)
