help...creative minds for craft show

okay, i have decided to go for a winter scene and have several display cakes that i am going to make, and i am going to display some cookie bouquets. i am going to offer a prize drawing for a free birthday cake.... my question is, i want to contact people on the birthday months and offer my cake service... i thought about something like this:
Name_____________ number________________
Address__________________________________

list your families birthdays:
who______________ when______________
who______________ when________________
who_______________ when_____________
who______________ when_____________


anyway, that would be the official entry form....it would also give me a list of birthdays, and i could contact them on birthday month and offer my services with a small discount.

okay, what do you guys think?

i've done on small craft show before, and had cakes on display, and people loved my cakes, took my cards, bought my cookies and cupcakes, and never called me. i think they probably lost my card, because the show is before christmas. i think this way i can contact them and offer service. should i put "check here if you want me to contact you"

i am so excited about doing these shows, i am ready to get busy on my business!!!! i should have my licsence this month and want orders waiting!!!

I would make sure they know why you want the info, and that you will be doing THEM a service by calling you...other then that good luck!

Ok,

This my VERY HUMBLE opinion, please don't yell at me!!

I think IMVHO that that reminds me of like Mary Kay or Tupperware, all I know is when someone says fill this out to win..and then asks for more info, I think oh no, now they are gonna call me like crazy and do not enter the draw at all. I hate when they constantly phone me. i am not saying you would, but thats what goes through my miind right away...

I do however understand your point about getting business, how about printing a brochure up, (bigger than a businees card, maybe won't get lost). It could have pics of your cakes and your name and contact info plastered all over it.. I have done many brochures if you want to (only if you want) I could help you with doing this...

In any case, good luck with the show..may you have many orders...
