Need ideas for a Sweet 16 cake. She's not really into anything frilly or flowers, but does not mind them. She does run cross-country track.

Any ideas or pics will be appreciated.

I did a search and didn't come up with too much. Here is a small picture of a jersey that might work.

I also thought about if you ice the cake green and then have brown sugar or graham cracker crumbs going through it like a track? Maybe have a little runner on there, either made out of fondant or I think you can buy small ones at Hobby Lobby. HTH!

How about a pair of track shoes and the "runners number" (you know the ones the runners pin on their shirts) that says "16" on a plain (sheet cake) of turf?

How about doing a cake to look like the cross country track area she runs adding hills, trees, grass etc., you could use the sheet pan or horseshoe pan for this and make up little signs along the path that say things like 'Driver Liscense ahead', 'Homework Obstical', 'Forest of Success', make the signs suit her,you get the idea and make a runner to put on track.

Just a rambling thought.
