I am making a Spongebob cake using the Wilton pan. It says to thin 1/4 cups of the icing with 3/4 teaspoon of corn syrup...I forgot to get that from the grocery store!! What can I do....(I have no syrup at all...corn, kayro...etc) ??? TIA

Nope...lol starting to run out of everything.... icon_redface.gif I have to go out this weekend...but that doesn't help for today. I may could get by with just smoothing it out. It is for the little craters... icon_rolleyes.gif

I sometimes just add a little more of whatever liquid it calls for in the recipe....

..come to think of it...when I made that Sponge Bob cake..I didn't add any corn syrup to my icing! Adding water to thin the icing would be fine as well!

i didn't even pay attention to those instructions...the corn syrup is so that it's a little thinner...i wouldn't even bother with it...
