I was wondering if anyone knows if this recipe for sugar cookies is soft or crunchy? Also I bought 7 pd of powdered sugar do you measure the powdered sugar before you sift or after? Thanks icon_lol.gif

It depends on how thick you make them and how long you cook them. I like mine slightly soft, so I make them at least 3/8" thick. I take them out the second I see the edges getting darker.
I measure, then sift. I've never, ever had a problem.

I agree with Mitsel8, that is what I do. As for the powdered sugar, I sift and then measure.

Mine are usually soft, unless I cook them to long ;(
I also found the ones that were covered with fondant seemed to stay softer. Maybe it was just a qinky dink though.
