Help!! Brownies without eggs?

Hi .. Hope someone here can help me!

I need to make a tray of brownies for my dd's birthday celebration in her classroom, but one girl is allergic to eggs.

How can i make brownies w/out the eggs? Add extra oil? Maybe some butter?

Help!! I need to bake these this afternoon so they're ready first thing tomorrow!!

Never tried this one, but found it for a friend's child:

Eggless Brownies

8 tsp. oil
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. chocolate extract
1 T plain yogurt
1/3 cup cold water
3/4 cup flour
2 T cocoa
1/2 tsp baking soda

Oven to 350 degrees.

In medium bowl, combine dry ingredients, mixing until blended. With a spoon, make a well in the center. In small bowl combine remaining ingredients, mixing with a spoon. Pour into well. Stir until all ingredients are moistened, but do not over beat.

Pam a 4" x 8" nonstick loaf pan and pour batter in. Bake 15 minutes.



***I always thought the "chocolate extract" and the tiny 4" x 8" pan were weird, so I never tried it. I have a REALLY yummy fudgey brownie recipe using applesauce and egg whites, but I guess that wouldn't be okay for her? icon_confused.gif

Hi,
This is a recipe I googled for eggless brownies. I've never made them, so I can't tell you how they taste.From what I've seen people say about brownies without eggs, is that you just have to work with the recipe a little to get them to taste good. There are also eggless brownie recipes that use Maida, but I'm not sure what that is. If you want me to find it for you and post it let me know. I hope this helps


Eggless Brownies


8 tsp. oil

1/4 c. sugar

Adding extra oil replaces the egg. I've always used olive oil in recipes that i don't feel like taking the risk and need egg yolks. Like lemon ice box pie. Tasted awsome and the same. So try a small batch. It should be ok. icon_smile.gif

I would sugest going to www.vegweb.com and searching the recipe directory under disserts. You should find several. I haven't tried any of them, but I have good luck with most of the recipes there. One thing I would sugest is to look for 5 star recipies, but make sure to check how many people have voted and check for lots of comments.
