Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and had a question about marshmellow fondant. After I mix it up, how do I put it on the cake? I've found that it's just to sticky and won't get off my hands so that I can roll it out. What am I doing wrong? I would appriciate some ideas. I'm making a bridal shower cake on Saturday (my first cake) and I'm sooooo nervous. My email is [email protected].
Thanks!!!!!!!!

Don't worry, your first time with MM fondant can be tricky and messy. I threw out my first 4 batchs before I got it right. If it is way too sticky then place some shortening on your hands and try to work with the fondant, if it is still too sticky add about 1tsp powdered sugar and try again. I find that I have usually added about 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar to my recipe and some time a little more. You also have to knead it for about 5 minutes to make sure it is the right consistency.

Good luck
Oh I make one batch at a time no more than 2 or it just doesn't work properly
