Anybody know of a good place to buy cinnamon chips? A couple of years ago--Walmart carried them and I can't find them at any of the grocery stores here.
I saw them selling at my dollar store. When you see things like that, that usually means they aren't being sold in the big stores anymore. That was probably left over or clearance stock.
I have seen them in the king arthur's catalog.
Have you ever used them and if so did you like them?
AShiana
the only place i can get them locally is Grand Union. Don't think you have those down there. They are put out by Hersheys, can you contact them. Perhaps you can get a list of local suppliers. Or perhaps your grocery store will order you a case if you will buy the whole thing.
The other option is King Arthurs, thiers are very good, but pricey.
walmart still carries them just around the holidays though. i know because i get them every year for candied apples(gourmet style). wait a few more weeks and im sure they will be on the holiday section of the baking aisle or even right in with the chocolate chips. you could even ask a sales manager for help and they will get them for you.
I think I have seen them at HEB in Houston. Don't know if there are any in your area. Good luck in finding them. How do you make the apples with cinnamon chips?
hey barbara ann, i use cinnamon chips, white chocolate chips and some type of nut(usually honied almonds-walnuts)and kraft caramel dip apple and roll in chopped toppings. very easy and DELICIOUS!! i also use alot of other toppings but every one loves the white chocolate and cinnamon
If you can wait a couple of weeks they should be out. They are a seasonal item at Wal-Mart.
