I have a cake for a lady due on Friday and it is for her twins birthday(boy and girl). the girl likes bratz and the boy likes Spiderman, the mom wants it to be a theme cake, this proably sounds dense, but I don't know how to put both of these on a 1/2 sheet cake to make it look right. I will be doing a bct. Any ideas would be greatfully appreciatedicon_smile.gif

Why don't you should put a line of icing down the middle and put Spiderman on half and a Bratz scenario on the other side.

Or you could do one cake where Spiderman is "saving" a Bratz girl.

I like spiderman saving a bratz girl!!
or talk the mom into 2 1/4 sheets. I think kids need their OWN cakes.

Yeah and if you do 2 1/4 sheets she can do 2 flavors. I think that would be the best way to go but if she is determined on the one I think Spidey saving the bratz girl would be cute.

Thanks everyone, I was afraid I would have it looking like spiderman was attacking her. The mom just said 1/2 a sheet. I can picture it if only I can get it on the cake to look right, well I'm off to look for more picturesicon_smile.gif

JUST DIVIDE THE CAKE IN 1\\2. WHEN I SPLIT THE CAKE FOR TWO, I PUT A BORDER AROUND THE WHOLE THING AND EVENLY PUT A BORDER DOWN THE CENTER. THEN PUT THE SPIDERMAN ON ONE SIDE AND THE BRATZ DOLL ON THE OTHER SIDE. GOOD LUCK!

I have seen a cake split like that with Dora on one side and batman on the other. She did the border all the way around and she didn't split the cake with a middle border. You just new which side was which and there names were together Happy Birthday Jen and Jake with Jen's Dora on oneside and Jakes Batman on the other.

Thanks again to everyone, well I can't seem to find a pic of spidy saving a girl and I know in the movie he did but anyway if I can find a pic of him saving a girl I was going to replace her face with one of the bratz. If all else fails I'll can do one on each side. Again thanksicon_smile.gif

How about drawing an open book on the sheet cake, each page dedicated to each character, leaving enough space to write happy bday on top, between cake and book, and writing each child's name on sides of each page, between cake and page. Hope this makes sence. That's all I can think of right now. Good luck!

How about dividing the cake from one corner to the opposite corner and use (or make from fondant/gum paste) little figurines of the two figures? Bratz doing her fashion them in her corner of the cake and spidy climbing his web in his corner. The diagonal division just says "Happy Birthday" and the boys name on spidys side and the girls name on the bratz side? I haven't encountered this problem yet. hummmm, makes me think how to handle it. Thanks for bringing this topic up!
