Hi every1!
I have yet another recipe I would like to share and see if anyone would like to try it out. Since it is the holiday time of year it is for Spice Cake.
Here goes:
1 cups oil
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon orange extract
3 1/2 eggs
2/3 cup tea
1/2 cup gingerale or cola
1/4 cup orange juice
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
3/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 325. Spray the pans with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, blend the flour, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, baking soda, baking powder and salt well. Make a well in the center and add in order, the oil, honey, white and brown sugars, the extracts, eggs, tea, gingerale or cola and orange juice and blend well. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl occasionally to ensure batter is evenly blended.
Pour or spoon the batter into prepared pans. Place cake baking sheet.
Bake at 325 for 1 hour and then reduce temperature to 300. Bake until done, cake will be firm to the touch. Recipe can be doubled and halved if desired.
Post your results if you make it!!

This sounds great! I love spice cake. Will have to go to the store and buy some of the ingredients though before I try! Thanks so much for sharing!
Now where the heck were you last week when for the life of me I could NOT find a spice cake recipe?!? This one sounds fantastic! Hopefully I'll get the chance to make another spice cake soon so I can try it out. My last one was just for my Wilton Course III 2-tiered cake so we're still eating it, even though I gave half of it away!
