Hi everyone!

I am still new to cookie and cake decorating, but was wondering if those of you who have a business of selling decorated cookies as favors for weddings, showers, etc... and cookie bouquets could inform me as to your prices for how many cookies in a bouquet, prices for individual cookies as favors in a clear bag with ribbon, any tips on starting that business, how long it takes to decorate for example 100 wedding cake cookies as wedding favors, etc... any advice would be appreciated. I am just looking into this for a possible future business and am curious overall.

Thanks so much in advance!!!! icon_smile.gif
P.S. Does anyone have a great chocolate roll-out dough recipe besides the one by Wilton or kitchengifts websites?

Well my business is predominantly cakes but I have done cookies before for weddings etc on a smaller basis.I charge $5.00 a cookie wrapped in a clear cellophane bag with a satin ribbon of their color choice. I have seen cookie bouquets go for around $28.00-$35.00 and up for 6 to 8 cookies...3 inch or 4 inch cookies in diameter. Some places are more or less depending on the area.Look at some of the cookie bouquet sites and see if that will try and help you determine your prices.

Cookies take so much time, be sure and don't underprice yourself. icon_smile.gif

I love doing cookies and have been thinking about offering holiday cookie bouquets and taking pre-orders for them. But I didn't get the ball rolling for halloween. Maybe for Thanksgiving. : )

I was thinking an in-expensive holder, probably 4-5 cookies (one bigger main one and the rest smaller) for $25.

Good luck and I hope it works out for you. : )
