this cake if for a display at a local florist.. I'm a little bit stumped. if you can't see the colours very well, the cake its self is a light peach,, with white scrolls and chocolate brown accents.

suggestions would be great!
thanks

I can't see anything that it would need myself.

I think it's beautiful. but if you want to add something to it, how about some little silk butterflies?

It's beautiful! Maybe a bead border around the tiers? Is the florist going to put flowers on it?

I always seem to add too much. Simple is better sometimes. I think this is beautiful. icon_biggrin.gif

It is beautiful
I think some russet or orange flowers on top or around the base would accent the peach and the brown.

I would put something on top like flowers, a bow or a topper. It is a beautiful cake! Love the scrolls. Great job!

I would put a topper very simple as to not take away from the lovely design on the cake - perhaps a single letter made from glass beads?

Besides the border I would leave it. Once the flowers are added it will be great. I think if you add any more and then the flowers it will be too much.

The scroll work is lovely and very delicate. If you choose to add something to it, make sure that it is equally light and ethereal.

bead border. let the florist add whatever flowers they think would be appropriate.

It's perfect as it is! Maybe a small bead border or other simple border. Great work!

Cake looks beautiful & your scroll work is . A small boarder and some simple flowers will make this cake perfect. I wish I could do as well as you have done!!!

I agree with everyone else beautiful cake, but just a simple, small bead border. Great job!

Gorgeous cake, I would suggest a bead border or maybe some simple bows on the top side of each tier in the darker color.

Yep, I think it needs a deep red bow or roses on top. Your scroll work is lovely and the cake is pretty on it's own, but the addition of that bit of bright color would really finish it perfectly.

What a lovely cake. If you don't want to put a bead border on the base of each tier, might I suggest a narrow (perhaps 1/2" - 3/4") ribbon of fondant? Select a color that would be nice with what you already have (maybe a chocolate brown). Then, if your florist is putting some sort of floral topper on it, they can select the appropriate color blooms to accent your beautiful cake perfectly. Nice work. You can be proud of yourself!

What a gorgeous piece of work!
A border around the tiers and a small bouquet on top would be stunning, but, it is beautiful as is too.
Your scroll work is so nice! thumbs_up.gif

I also agree with putting a small bead border around the tiers. I also like the idea of adding a bright red bow (at least the way the colors show up on my computer) just to bring out the rest of the design.

Simply GORGEOUS cake just as it is, though. Beautiful scrollwork!
