I have never made rolled cookies before, so I don't have a recipe for them. Would someone mind sharing a good recipe with me? I have to make cookies for my daughter's class and I have to have them for Monday.
Thanks in advance!!!
are you looking for a recipe for cut outs - I use the no fail sugar cookie recipe at
http://www.kitchengifts.com/nofailsugarcookies.html
it is really good and you can add what ever kind of flavoring you like
the tip at the bottom about using parchement paper to roll then out with is the bomb!

This one's yummy. I use half brown sugar for a little extra flavor.
Thank you guys! I printed it and am on my way home to give it a try. And that little trick at the bottom sounds like the bomb!!!!!
Thank you! I will be posting pictures early next week. Since these are my first cookies, I am expecting to have a lot of work to do.

The Vanilla Sugar cookie recipe that's on the Wilton site is a good one , too.
Just an update........ the cookies were a total disaster. I rolled them, cut them out and bake them great. No problems. Decorating is a totally different story. The icing kept running everywhere. I tried outlining them first and then filling them in, they just kept running. Nothing seemed to work. I don't think I will be doing cookies again anytime soon. They were so bad that I refused to take pictures. Sorry guys!!
Sorry for your bad experience with the cookies. May I ask what icing recipe you were using and what consistency? Just thought that might help us understand what happened to the icing.
What happened? What recipe did you use? Don't give up. There may be a simple solution. Cookies are work but also alot of fun.
