Hey Ya'll~

My name is Tina Chambers but most of you know me as TCTurtleshell. The turtle with the FD hat. I was so honored when Jackie contacted me for the Member Spotlight. I live in Bossier City, LA. I have been married for 20 years. My husband is an Air Force man. We have 2 children. I am a school bus driver, volunteer fireman (lady), & I decorate cakes in my free time. When I'm not driving the bus, fighting fires or doing cakes I'm on CC learning new things & meeting new friends.

I have taken the 3 Wilton Cake Courses. I have also taken several classes at my friends cake supply store "Cake Creations" in Shreveport, LA. I became interested in decorating 2 years ago after one of my friends (tcrema) talked me into taking the classes at Michael's. Never in a million years did I ever think I would be making wedding cakes.

I do not own a business but do dream about it all the time. I mostly do cakes for family, friends & on occasion by word of mouth. My favorite cakes to do are wedding cakes or groom's cakes. There's no better feeling (other then the adrenaline rush I get when I get called to a fire) then when I stand back & look at my finished creation. I'm always amazed that I did that! I also love seeing happy faces!! My favorite technique is working with fondant. I enjoy making roses. My least favorite is icing & smoothing. I know I have gobs of decorators who agree with me there.

I have been a CC addict for 2 years. I found CC right after I started decorating. I have learned so much from the members here. I have met so many amazing decorator's & several friendships have been formed through CC. I love CC & can't go one day without it
