My Name is MaryAnn and I have been decorating for about Seven years, . My first cake was my wedding cake and it was pretty sad! I was a Stay at home mom of one darling daughter. Mostly now I work part time and do cakes weekly. I am 29 and married for 7 years!

I attended Le Cordon Bleu and took Hiatus to get over morning sickness! I went back to school for a short time,networked and was later hired as a Pastry Chef. I was working fifteen hour days and finally made the decision to do cakes!

I would say in the last three years is when I got serious about doing cakes. I have competed at OSSAS 2005 and 2006. I had a wedding cake place with a bronze certificate 2005.( La Petite Fleur was seen on Sugar Rush and The designer Wedding Cake Challenge on Food Network) I also took two Second place ribbons that year. In 2006 I took two gold medals at Upper Midwest Bakery Convention and two third place ribbons at OSSAS. My six year old took a second place in the six and under category!

My most recent news is I had my second cake appear in Mailbox News and I won Week seven Wilton choice for the Gingerbread Competition.Plus I had my Halloween cake in fifth on CC! I will attend UMBC and OSSAS in 2007!

I am so honored to be picked for the spotlight on CC! I just love coming to this site and have made many friends! I love trying new things each and everyday! I hope that this year will bring me much luck in competition and thank you for nominating me!
