I have had a lot of requests for my fondant recipe so thought I would post it… super easy…. super yummy!
Rachel’s Fondant (dellboi2u)
Ingredients
- 16 oz. bag marshmallows (large or small)
2 lb. powdered sugar
3 Tablespoons Water
Candy flavoring oil (optional) sub out the amount you use for the water
Instructions
Melt 3 Tablespoons water and a 16oz bag of marshmallows in the Microwave (I heat for 3 minutes). Wipe 1/8 cup (approx) crisco on the inside of your Kitchen Aid (Or whatever brand you have) bowl. Empty a 2 lb. bag of powdered sugar in the bowl. Stir melted marshmallows until smooth and then pour over powdered sugar. With the dough hook knead just until all of the powdered sugar is absorbed. THAT’S IT!!! I roll out on crisco or corn starch. You can heat the extra fondant in the microwave for easier kneading. If it ever gets too oily just knead in a little corn starch. If it’s ever too dry knead in crisco. LOVE this recipe! You can sub out some of the water with candy flavoring oil to make it taste like whatever you want!!! YUMMY!
Sugar… Sugar… Sugar… lol

You can store fandant in an air tight container in a cool dry place for up to a month.

Just finished making a batch of Strawberry (Rachels recipe), Plain White (T’s Fondant recipe) and Chocolate (Cakea’s recipe). Yummo
Thanks Rachel for the tip on using flavors. First time I’ve ever made fondant. This recipe is a keeper.
