Pan Coating

This is the best pan coating for baking cakes! I always make a double batch, and store it in the fridge in mason jars.

Pan Coating

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 1 cup oil (canola or corn)
  • 1 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl with beaters. Store in mason jars in fridge.
  2. To use: Use pastry brush to paint the cake pan with the coating.

Hi, I'm trying out your pan coating tonight and was wondering if it is supposed to be the consistency of like whip cream? Did I do something wrong? I thought it would have more of a solid texture. Please let me know! Thanks!!

Great pan coating! Every time I have made it I whip mine until it is like whip cream. On a funny side note make sure you label it because my wife accidentally grabbed a finger full and was very unhappy about it. Apparently a it tasted nothing like frosting...ha ha ha
