This is a basic buttercream icing that tastes really yummy!

Delicious Buttercream Icing

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
    1/2 tsp salt
    1tsp vanilla extract
    2 tsp. butter extract
    1/2 tsp almond extract
    just under 1/2 cup of water
    1 two pound bag of confectioner’s sugar (powdered sugar)

Instructions

    Mix well the shortening, water and extracts. Add about half of the confectioner’s sugar and blend well. Gradually adding the rest of the confectioner’s sugar. Beat until well blended.
