Strawberry Cake Filling

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups strawberries
    (if frozen, thaw first and drain well)
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    3 tablespoons cornstarch
    1 cup water

Instructions

    1. In a 2-quart saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, cornstarch and water.

  2. 2. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
  4. 3. Set aside and let cool.
