Cookies and Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups heavy cream 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 20 chocolate sandwich cookies, i.e., Oreos, crushed into med. pieces.

Instructions

  1. In bowl of electric mixer at high speed, whip until stiff:
  2. 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
  3. 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar
  4. 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  5. Gently fold in:
  6. 20 chocolate sandwich cookies, i.e., Oreos, crushed into med. pieces
  7. Yeilds: 6 cups

Does this have to be refrigerated once on the cake?
just made it! WOW, its delish!!
I mixed it with my buttercream and used as a filling AWESOME!
This was a yummy filling for my chocolate cake this weekend! The only thing I noticed was that it soaked into my cake after a day so you could hardly tell it was there. Next time I will try putting a bit more in between my layers to see if that helps. Overall, great simple recipe that I will use again! :)
