I too have been looking for a good banana cake recipe. Thank you so much!
This is a gud yummy banana recipe, A????? gonna try it out.But what's the lifespan of the cake because of the banana can it last long?
I live in Mexico and cannot find "self rising flour". I see this listed in quite a few ingredients lists. What do I use instead? Is there a standard conversion that breaks this down into regular flour and baking soda/powder, or whatever?
For each cup of all-purpose flour, add 1 1/4 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
The whole family LOVED it. Approved and asked for more...lasted 1 1/2 day only, that's because I hided 1. ;) Didn't used the honey glazed thou and used 4oz oz light brown sugar & 2 oz of regular granulated sugar. Deliciousssss.....
to desfox13, If you don't like salt, you can leave it out, just up the baking powder a bit (I would probably add 2 teaspoons baking powder to 1 cup flour). An alternative method is to add one teaspoon of cream of tartar and half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda to one cup of plain flour - this gives the same result.
Sorry, by plain flour, I mean all purpose flour.
