Cons: pineapple rings don't fit in the spaces
I really liked this pan when I first got it and still do but it does have a few flaws. One don't use the included recipe, it doesn't work as well as other recipes do for pineapple upside down cake. Two the spaces for the pineapple are a little small compared to the pineapple that comes out of the can but it still works pretty well. Otherwise a great pan!
Cons: Doesn't hold an entire cake batter
I've had this pan for years and love it for small pineapple upside down cakes. However, a regular cake mix batter is too much for this pan. The majority of the time the cake will split around each pineapple when removed from the pan. I've tried decreasing the batter, but it hasn't help. I used the receipe from DuncanHines. com.
