This was made for an annual fire department dinner. Everything is cake or fondant/gumpaste. I blocked out the name of the department, on the chiefs hat. I forgot to ask their permission to put the cake online. I was very unhappy the way the cakes themselves looked. Just could not get the buttercream to smooth properly. And I still hate fondant. But they loved it!!

Amazing cake! What did you use for the end of the holses to keep them open like that? Definitely going into the favorites folder!

The ends of the hoses are gumpaste/fondant...roll out the paste ,cut to the size you want and then wrap around a bottle the size you want the opening.seal the edges together..let it harden then slip it off to dry totally. Remember to coat the bottle with some cornstarch or confectioners sugar so the paste doesn't stick.
