Chicken Farm
Chicken Farm
Uploaded By: selahmycat
This was done for a guy who was retiring and had bought a chicken farm. The coop is done in fondant, the dirt is graham cracker crumbe. I did this cake and a 1/4 sheet. There were 75 white royal icing chickens and 45 yellow royal icing chicks between the two cakes.

I just left a msg on the second picture. - love the chickens and chicks - a really thoughtful and delightfully different cake. Also would like to see closeup of chicken, if you have one and wondering what the golden bedding material in the coop is made of - is it golden caster sugar?

I don't have any close up of the chickens. I found the idea on Wilton website under techniques. I used graham cracker crumbs for the "dirt".

This is so cute! We own a chicken farm, this would be too funny for my husband, and just about all my neighbors too!
