Topsy Turvy Graduation Cake

I made this cake for my sister's high school graduation picnic. School colors are red, white and black. My husband made a PVC stand to create the tilted affect. He modeled it after the Cake Study one found online, it was amazing, I was so happy with the strength of the structure. I used my Cricut Cake to do the zebra pattern, all the writing, ribbon on the 2nd tier and swirls on the top tier. The graduation hat was half a styrofoam ball covered in fondant, the only thing not edible on the cake. The tassel I made from fondant using a clay craft gun. The butterflies I made with a PME stamp/veiner - so much fun!!! I then used a PME luster spray in pearl to make all the butterflies sparkle :-) The 2nd tier was covered in black sanding sugar to give it texture and sparkle. The flowers were made from a gumpaste/fondant mix. It was a lot of work, but at the end of the day my sister loved it and it was a huge hit!!
