70th birthday/retirement cake for a neighbour who has a large vegetable plot. Rich fruit cake covered in marzipan, then sugarpaste. All items made of modelling paste apart from bean poles, spade and rake handles ( wooden skewers), and wheelbarrow handles (bonsai wire). Soil was grated brown and grey modelling paste grated on a Microplane grater and mixed with dark brown sugar. Side designs made with Mexican paste and Patchwork cutters. Made as a topper to assist with cutting. Thanks to annethered amongst others on CC for ideas.
