Shoe and Shoebox cake I made for my daughter's coworker. My first attempt at a shoe. It was a bit tricky until I figured out I couldn't make the entire shoe out of fondant. It just kept drooping...go figure. I have figured out the difference between fondant and gumpaste! Now I'd like to experiment with mixing the two to get the right consistency for modeling. Fondant is too soft and gumpaste dries and cracks too fast. Practice practice ;-)
