This is my 1st wedding cake - done as a final level in class and have now graduated. I got the idea from a cake that had fresh flowers in between the two tiers and can now see why - fake ones were too gappy so needed to make emergency alteration - put ribbon in between each rose. The bottom tier was meant to have pearl string, not ribbon around the bottom - I did ribbon to tie-in the aleration better. Not including baking time, cake ended up taking around 40 hours to cover and decorate.
