This is my 7th fondant cake. It is a for an online contest. The theme is "candies" so I had to incorporate the candies into the cake. I wanted to do something unexpected and use the candies creatively. The red parts are actualy wrapped licorice (Twizzlers pull and peel). I added streaks of silver to give it that vintage feel. The black border the top edges are Red Vines Black licorice. The centers for the flowers are Haribo Rapsberry Gummi candies cut in half and painted silver. The streaks on the bows are there for a purpose to give it that different look.
