2-layer, 22x28, half white, half choc, all BC cake for the Gov's Long Term Employee Recognition Award Ceremony. Serves over 300. My 3rd year doing this cake for them. This cake is HEAVY! Lucky for me, one of my brides came by the shop and helped me load the cake into the van. I couldn't lift it alone! I made the border by buying a 2" wide strip of lace from JoAnn Fabric, laying on the cake, then spraying with PME gold luster. Lifted the lace and there ya are! One lady went to get 3 friends to "come look at this lace on the cake!" Two people held up the cake line to get a picture and I said, "Now that's what I call a compliment .... when you hold up the cake line for a photo op of the cake!"
