This is a little four-inch smash cake to go along with my mermaid birthday ensemble for a 1-year old. The cake is iced in IMBC with fondant accents and ground cookie sand. The shells are molded fondant, and the name was hand-rolled from fondant as well. The octopus is 50/50 and is a near-exact replica of a gumpaste octopus made by lilyZ. The extra space on the board was to accommodate the mom's "1" birthday candle.
