Chocolate Covered Strawberries with Piroutte wafers

Birthday cake for a 58 year old. They wanted something elegant, the second one of these I have made. 8" Vanilla with BC icing (cake was made with 1/2 sugar and 1/2 splenda - new mix out at the stores). Topped with chocolate dipped strawberries with Message on Red Satin Ribbon Banner.
Be sure to check the prices of fruit before quoting a price. Didn't realize they were out of season and they cost me $8 just for the strawberries. Didn't make much on this cake. A lesson learned.
