6", 8", 10" squares from scratch. Champagne cake with champagne bc & vanilla fondant. Flowers were provided by (and arranged by) the florist. I personally would not have put so many on top...and I thought she was going to use a different selection - but overall it came out ok. TFL! :o)
Hi! I just read your forum post. I'm so sorry that you got "a bad apple". I can't imagine what you're feeling. I'm a newbie to this as well and am looking forward to making more and more cakes....even a wedding cake if given the chance. I can't imagine what I would feel if someone said that to me. I think you're taking it pretty well. Don't let it discourage you. Like your husband said, you can't please everyone. Take it with a grain of salt! Your cake is beautiful!
The cake looks great!! Sorry to hear about your bad experience with the groom- hope you don't give up on wedding cakes, they can be so rewarding and your work is fantastic!
WOW IS RIGHT!! This cake is beautiful! I have been doing cakes for 25 years now and can not do as good a job at fondant as that!! F the groom. He doesn't know what class is. Great job!
