Mason's grooms cake
Mason's grooms cake
Uploaded By: mmgiles
This was for a groom that is a mason. This started as a 14" square and I carved and somehow managed to make this compass and square. The points of the compass on the bottom are held on with bamboo skewers as is the cupcake at the top. It had a bavarian cream filling and between that filling, the imperfect frosting on the sides, and the drive, the frosting fell off of the sides. I had to remove the border, push the sides back up and repipe the border there. Thank goodness there was a catering kitchen.

This is really cool. I have never seen a Masonic cake. Lots of Masons in my family, so I will have to add this to my faves! You did a great job! It is a complicated design.
