Thomas - Travis's 2nd Birthday
Thomas - Travis's 2nd Birthday
Uploaded By: Price
I made this for my Grandson's 2nd Birthday. He loves Thomas! BC with fondant plaques. I am making my Niece's wedding cake in June and she has chosen a hexagon shape, so this was a practice for the wedding. Thanks for looking.

The hexagon makes a great roundhouse!! Loves the plaques -- the detail is amazing. How did you do that?

critique member: This is a really nice design! All I can say is that your board could have been a little bigger. At least 2" bigger than your cake. other than that..you've utilized all the sides of the hexagon VERY nicely! I love the added photo of the bday boy on the round tier...and the train tracks on the board are too cute! really well done! Very Happy

Critique Subgroup Member: amazing work on getting the sharp sides on the hexagon. I really like this cake- you did a fantastic job on keeping everything clean and neat. I agree about the board. Still, everything was perfectly executed.

Critique subgroup member: Boy look at those corners - perfection. The design on this cake is wonderful and your fondant plaques turned out wonderfully. Everyone on the board know I'm a stickler for a couple of things and one is your board. It is too small should be a good 2 to 3 inches bigger then your design and I would measure from the corners. Since your craft is so well done, I'm also going to challenge you to start making fondant figures such as the actual train. Wink

Critique group member: Cute! I love the way you created interest in all the surfaces. The only thing I see is there are a couple imperfections on the some of the corners but other than that it looks great.
