Severed Fingers!

Severed Fingers! on Cake Central

I made these with the left-over dough from my halloween cookies. They were so much fun and really quick to make! I'll definitely be making a big batch for our halloween party next week! I used jam to attach the almonds, making them 'bloody fingernails', and put a bit on the ends too for the 'bloody stumps'. Thanks to fiddlesticks for the instructions.

Kelly, What kind of cookie dough did you use and how did make them look so real. When the dough is in the oven does it keep the shape?

You know the idea sounds so simple, an almond for a fingernail, but they just look SO EXCELLENT! Yours turned out just perfect.

I honestly couldn't eat one, sick stomach, but boy would I love making some for those stronger in stomach. They're really gruesome!!!!

Wow! Thanks everyone for the comments! I've seen loads of these on CC recently, so I thought mine would go un-noticed! I made them with the No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe (NFSC) here on CC, and just copied the shape and markings on my own fingers. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour before baking and they'll keep their shape.
