This idea is from a Wilton book. The little girl requested puppies instead of kittens. Puppies are made from mini-ball pan cakes. All buttercream with royal flowers and royal basket handle.
This is great! I was surprised to see this one as someone just asked me this week to quote them on the original design from the 1974 book! You are SPOT ON!!!! Your piping is very neat and tidy! Did you use a 12" round as well?
This idea came from the 1994 Wilton yearbook. The little girl wanted puppies instead of the kittens. I covered them with tip 233 (grass tip) fur and I believe I did use the 12 inch pan. The white puppy represents the little girls dog who is part of the family and is also featured on the camping cake I made for her dad. He's famous now! :D
This was my first attempt at rope. You can see where I was still practicing. I made two of these but the better one broke. I used several strands of florist wire bent to the shape of the handle. I laid it flat on wax paper and made a royal rope on top the wire. I let it dry for a couple of days, turned it over and did it again on the other side. The handle is inserted in hidden pillars to make it stand up. Thanks so much everyone for the comments. You have all made my day!! :)

Very cute cake. Pretty purple color; I like how you arranged the flowers at the base of the cake and in the basket.
