Hello!

I was hoping to get some help with my cakes bulging.. it doesn't always happen.. but please tell me what i'm doing wrong icon_smile.gif

I pipe a circle around the 1st layer using thick icing - I put thin icing in the circle. I then put the second layer on top, ice the whole cake and let it set in the fridge for 1 hour. I put the fondant on, put it back in the fridge... but as it sets when I take it out.. it starts bulging! Please help icon_biggrin.gif

You're not letting the cake settle. And unless there's a perishable filling there is NO reason to put it in the fridge. And a lot of reasons not to.
