It may be too late to do this year but maybe next year? I just got finished reading a post that broke my heart, one of our members is having a great big difficult time and may not be able to make Christmas for her children.

I propose this...

maybe Heath and Jackie..ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE THEY DO!! can start a Christmas wish list.

If you are finding it hard to make Christmas, or whatever holiday for your kids, you can send an email with your address, kids names and ages and what they need or want.

and those of us that can can sort of "ADOPT" a family.

there could be a seasonal forum..

Let's say..."family in Miami"

body:

with 2 children,

boy 6
girl 4

Boy likes matchbox cars and superman
girl likes to color and brats

they could also use some new shoes..

boy size
girl size

( all the information has to come from the person that would like a SECRET SANTA) then someone annonymously could adopt the family and send them their secret santa package with no name of course..

except "FROM SANTA".

What do you guys think???

should there be a cut off in age, maybe kids up to the age of 15/16? ( you can always get a part time job at that age! lol)

Well,, maybe for next year?

I've done this in many other forums, ADOPTED A FAMILY, It's worked out pretty well, just minor problems..

If you commit to a family your package must be out by a certain date or send the name back so they can be reposted??

I had one little girl that I kept in touch with for about 2 years...every month I'd send her a little package, I eventually fessed up and the mom told me how much those little packages meant to the little girl.

well, that's just a suggestion..get back to me and maybe we can start for next year??

OMGoodness!!
Is it really too late? Can we help this family maybe using eBay?
If we buy stuff on eBay and have it sent to them instead of us, they will get it in plenty of time for Christmas. I'd love to help too.
Great idea!!!

cheers

Ok, how about this..Let Jackie or Heath stamp their approval first.

then if you need a SECRET SANTA..you can email me directly..I will come back and edit this post and put in my emaill. ( SO NO EMAILS TILL THEY APPROVE>>LOL)

you send your name, address and children's sex, ages and sizes and what they need.

make is as short as possible, I don't need you to thank me or tell me your life story..WE HAVE ALL BEEN THERE!!

IF YOU WANT TO BE A SECRET SANTA..

I will post I don't know where....FAMILY IN (WHATEVER TOWN) with

blah blah blah..and the first email that I get back adopting this family will get the info and that will get crossed off the list...

and we go down the line.

Remember this is short notice and we will do our best...but I don't think we are early enough to get EVERYONE!

So...let's Hope JACKIE AND HEATH give the ok...

sorry had to attach it having problems with computer.

Here's the update : )
http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-53790-secret.html+santa

So far both families posted have been taken up (100% success so far icon_biggrin.gif) so the rest of us will have to wait for other families to request a Secret Santa.

cheers

I know I'm too late on this, sorry I just saw this thread. I would love it if we could do this every year here on CC. I'd be more than happy to help out a family on CC.

I can read my pm's right now but for some reason when I try sending one out right now it won't let me. I'll try again tomorrow---I think my computer hates me right now. must be burning up and wanting to rest.
