the only reason I said that..the last time I tried to pay a bill online..was my phone bill and the 'puter wouldn't put it through..
then I come to find that every time I clicked..they did...so I ended up with an empty over drafted account..YIKER
but, they were cool...I got the monies released and credited back..
LOL
WOW... those bows really do look like package bows. I love them. I make the loop bows and really like them, but have always wanted to make a 'gift bow'. Pls do let me know too when & where to purchase the mold.
Keep up the good work!
ciao
what size flower former are you using? and what thickness of gumpaste or fondant are you using? My bows don't stay perkey when I put them in the flower former, the loop "flattens".I had to stuff it with plastic wrap.
The flower former that I have is a sheet of "wavy" plastic, not the flower formers from wilton -- have you used a spoon board? where you take plasitc spoons and glue them down to cardboard? I usually use this for roses, but used for the loops the other day --
I also used cotton balls to prop up the center of the loops -- I've been trying a few new things to see which I like the best --
I roll with the pasta roller about a 4 -- not super thin or thick -- very much in the middle --
I'm making more this weekend -- I'll take some more pictures and post to the directions..

oh ok...because with the wilton flower former they are flopping over themselves...! I'm trying to make them for the pink and black cake for tomorrow..
I had really good luck with the cotton -- Mine were getting too curvy -- the formers were too cupped -- basically I'll I did was take a cotton ball and put inside the loop to keep it proped up until it dried enough to start working with --
I can't wait to see the picture.

so then you're not even putting them into the curve to dry? That's even better.
exaclty -- i think that will help the process -- several people were getting too much curve --
I have two of these package bow molds and they are great fun to use! Thanks Melissa!!
