Little Girl Carrying A Cake...
I made this cake for a friend's daughter's birthday. The little girl design came from a pattern for embriodery (usually used on dish towels), but I thought she'd look cute on a cake as well! The cake is chocolate and the icing is Butter Cream--except for the girl who's made with colored piping gel.

My Grandpa's 80 Birthday Cake~
My grandpa really likes chocolate cake, but my grandma really doesn't, so she had me make a carrot cake this time. For the icing, I made a recipe I got from a friend--a Buttercream of sorts, but it uses real butter. It tastes SO much better than the shortning type, in my opinion, but it gives a different texture to the cakes that is a little harder to work with!

Pancake Cake!
This cake was my first attempt at making a cake that looked like a stack of pancakes. The person I gave it to actually thought it was pancakes at first, and wondered why I'd brought them along, as they already had a meal prepared. :) I used fondant to make the "Pancakes" and the butter.
