Rainbow Roses Above The Sea

I had so much fun making this cake. The bride and groom gave me creative freedom. The only thing they absolutely wanted to see in the cake were the themes: 'sea', 'beach' and 'rainbow roses'. I had to look up the latter. happy roses are roses of which the petals consist of several colors! It was great to make that in gumpaste. Raspberry cake with champagne filling. Wrapped Classic

I delivered this cake last week at a garden party when it was raining cats and dogs! It was terrible! Everything was soaking wet, from the grounds to the seats etc. The wedding couple only had a small tent that I could put the cake in... and lots and lots of people hiding from the rain also discovered this tent. They were still very satisfied with the looks. Draped fondant, gumpaste roses, peonies and filler flowers. Thanks for watching!

Paris

Elegant Little Cakes

Flower Horn

This was my second entry in the Holland Sugar Art Show 2010. I didn't get enough points for this piece, but I like it just te same. The colors of all the gumpaste flowers make me happy! It took a LOT OF TIME to make this horn. The horn is sugarpaste as well. Thanks for watching.

My Cake Won!!!

This was my entry for the Holland Sugar Art Show 2010 last weekend. I won the Grand prize in the category "Cake with sugar flower arrangement". It was my first competition and I became 1st, I was so happy! I worked for three months on my cakes. I submitted another piece, but that one didn't get enough points. Still lots to learn. Red And White Wedding

My first wedding cake this year with red and white. I love red roses, I think they are so romantic! Filled with cherry cream and iced in white ganache and fondant. I delivered it at a high class venue which turned out to be the estate of the bride's parents. Funny since the bride and groom themselves live in a 1-bedroom apartment!

This wedding cake is a real test piece. First time Michelle Foster's fondant, first time cornelli lace and first time woolley's gumpaste. All together a real challenge.
