I made these monkey cupcakes for my mom on her birthday a couple weeks ago. Each monkey is supposed to resemble a certain characteristic of each of my family members. So, for example, my little 5 year old brother is ALWAYS eating and making funny faces, so for his cupcake, I put a banana in his mouth and gave him goofy eyes.
The Globe Theater was made out of 4 12" rounds and the bottom half of Shakespeare's body was made out of cake while the top half was made out of cereal treats.

Full sheet cake carved in the shape of a piano. A cake board was used for the lid, covered in fondant, and attached to the piano with a dowel rod.
Crown was made using two 8", two 10", and one 12" round. Mask was sculpted using fondant and painted with luster dust, and pieces of material were sown together and attached to the back of the mask to create the jester look.
4 foot tall marine soldier. Shoes, legs and upper body are all carved out of cake. Head was carved out of styrofoam covered in fondant and airbrushed. Hat was made out of rice crispy treats.
