Caerlaverock Castle
I made this for a Maxwell Family Reunion this weekend. It is s castle in the family's history and they asked me to make a cake of it. I have been working 12 to 14 hours a day at my full time job so I wasn't able to do everything I wanted but everybody loved it. The towers are made of Rice Crispy treats that are covered in white chocolate ganache.

40Th Wedding Anniversary Near Disaster
I made this cake for my cousin's 40th Wedding Anniversary. The top two tiers are cake, the bottom two are cake and a cake dummy. The topper is gumpaste roses. This cake was a disaster when I got to the venue. I had transported the cake 2 x 2. The cake dummy bottom layer was covered in Royal Icing with a layer of Buttercream over it . When I went to get it out of the car at delivery, I discovered the upper tier and slide off the lower dummy tier and was hanging off by about 4 inches. I just stood there and cried. I only had enough icing with me to put on the pearls once I stacked the two sections together. My husband was a trooper. He helped me put it back together (which I didn't think was even possible). We had to take the icing that slid and put it back in place, clean the fondant pearls that slid with the icing and put it all back together. It took us an hour and a half to get it presentable. Luckily we arrived a half hour ahead a schedule. If anyone hadn't seen it before, they really couldn't tell anything had happened. Lesson learrned, never deliver a cake without spare icing and always make sure royal icing is COMPLETELY dry before you cover it with Buttercream.

Blackford 60Th Wedding Anniversary
I made this for my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary open house that we had this weekend. Four tiers, spice (Dad's favorite), butter pecan, german chocolate w/ coconut pecan icing filling (Mom;s favorite), and white. Topper is a butter pecan cake that I carved into the shape of a car and covered it with chocolate Fondarific that i colored with black and add additional fondant accessories. I then wrote "FORD" (Blackford, get it??!!) on the back of the car with royal icing and placed a 60 on both doors. All cakes are covered and filled with buttercream icing with the exception of the german chocolate cake. I also have royal icing swirls in ivory and blue.

Mint Green/royal Purple Jarrett Wedding Cake
This is a 6", 10" and 14" with 2 10" satellite cakes. The construction is Globe and each satellite cake is setting on the 2" globes with a piece of the hidden pillar cut to fit the globes to add support for the cakes since they are being used as a base. The cake topper is 100% gumpaste consisting of Royal Purple roses accented with Mint Green roses and white stephotis and babies breath. The monogram is a gumpaste heart that is actually 2 hearts placed together with a wire between for support and the top one has been ruffled. The "G" is a gumpaste pearl string. The vase is gumpaste as well that sat on a gumpaste "platter". The satellite cakes have a gumpaste heart plaque with an arrangement of roses with stephanotis and babies breath. This was a big hit at the reception.

Quad Birthday Cake
I made this cake when my daughter-in-law had their second baby this week. He was born on his Daddy's birthday and since his Daddy is a twin and their younger brother was born two years later, that now makes four birthdays on the same day. I surprised Daddy with this cake at the hospital.
