Wedding Dress
Barbie grew up and now she is getting married!!! I baked the Wilton "wonder pan" as well as a 12" round (2" high) ***Barbie is too tall for just the wonder mold pan! The cake was iced with butter cream icing and then I made THIN fondant ruffles. Each section was done in smaller strips of fondant ruffles so that I could easily form the dress. Then the layers of ruffles were added. Lastly I molded the bodice of the dress with fondant and added the layering effect. The flowers are wired gum paste flowers which were stuck into the cake to keep them in place, and one added into her hair. This cake took me about 3 1/2 hours to decorated.

Royal Canadian Air Force
This a a 9" round cake. The FBT was inspired from a RCAF WWII recruiting poster. I did the entire top of the cake as a solid frozen butter cream transfer. I made the cake for my friend who is one of 2 remaining survivors from the original 29 graduates (from the very first course) in 1940 for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.

Baby Girl Cupcakes
These little cupcakes were for a baby shower... the booties were made using a fondant mold and then the lace was piped on with white buttercream. The little babies under blankets... I tinted the fondant fleshtone and rolled out little heads and rectagles for the bodies under the blankets. Then cut out tiny little hands and used a peering knife to make the fingers. The blankets were cut using a sculpted round cookie cutter and then cut a bit off and made it look like the blanket was folded down. The baby's eyes and hair were drawn on using a brown edible marker and then I piped the "soother" using a small star tip and bc. They are soooooo cute you could just eat them up - which I guess they did!!!

Nail Polish
I made this cake using 7" (x2) round cakes for the bottle, and 5" round for the brush handle. Each cake was cut in half and then set on it's side. I covered the cakes in fondant icing, and used duster lust with the pink to make it sparkly. I then pipes on all script using butter cream icing. I made this for my friend's daughter who was having a spa birthday party, and also made cut-out cookie hands and feet so the girls could give the nails icing pedicures and manicures.

Wedding Cookies1
The bride & groom wanted cookies instead of cake. I used a family recipe for sour cream cut-out cookies, and iced them with royal icing using the colour flow technique. The flowers were cut from fondant. The large cookies were placed on cardboard trays that I had covered with foil so that they could stand up for display. This picture was taken by the bride & groom after they had set them out for thier reception.

Frangipani Wedding Cake
this cake was iced with bc and then a crisp white ribbon was tied around the base of each tier. The piping work is also bc. The frangipani flowers are gumpaste that I had to order. This couple was married in Australlia and had a 2nd reception here. This was a much larger version of thier original wedding cake that they had. (replica from pictures)

Pink Apple Blossoms Cupcakes
The cupcakes were iced with buttercream icing. The (stiffened) buttercream apple blossoms I did in advance and allowed to harden so that I could set each flower ontop of cupcakes, then did the dots in the center and leaves once placed on cupcakes. The top cake was a 7" round cake, decorated in buttercream as well to cordinate with the cupcakes. I like the angle that this picture was taken since it shows the entire cake well.
