Pirate Cake
My daughter's tenth birthday. I took the background out of the photo because I had the table set up in front of the window and all you could see through the window was the neighbor's AC unit. The cake is 6-8-10 and I used gumpaste for the sword and hook, white chocolate for the skull, and fondant for the rest.

Black And Red Corset
Red velvet cake with marshmallow fondant. The pattern on the corset was made with a placemat and the red details were made with a Makins extruder. The really bright silver color is Americolor airbrush color, put on with a paintbrush. The cake itself is a 12" heart with the sports ball on top as the bust. The heart is carved a bit to look more like an hourglass figure.

Thor's Hammer
This is a bourbon chocolate cake with a raspberry swirl, raspberry buttercream and fondant. I had never heard of Thor's Hammer until I got this request. For anyone else as clueless as me :P it's a Norse god, and the reason they wanted it for a cake was because the birthday boy (age 36) wears a Thor's Hammer pendant.

A Bear In The Woods
WASC covered in MMF. Bear and shrubs are rice krispie treat. Tree is made from wire, plastic straws, and dowels covered in MMF. This was a Father's Day cake for my husband, who is nicknamed Daddy Bear and who loves the Charmin commercials. The tree is about a foot tall and the cake is a carved 9X13.
