The shoe was made using the heel mold from Swank Cake design, and a styrofoam contraption we made for the arch. The shoe is a 50/50 blend of modeling chocolate and fondant. The spikes are gumpaste painted with highlighter.

For this cake we baked a 6" square and rounded the top, then covered a Wilton dowel support with modeling chocolate. We covered the bottom portion with fondant then inserted the neck (support w modeling choc) then wrapped that with the grey fondant. The board was covered in marbelized fondant then painted with gel color. The cork at the top is a cake ball dipped in candy melts. The label is and edible image.
This cake is covered in ivory satin ice fondant, then hand painted with wilton gel color, last we added gold dragees and gold rope borders.
