A cake done for my son's class. The teacher requested that it not have Santa or anything religious in it but I still wanted it to be fun for the kids. It was a big hit. Covered in decorator frosting with white glitter (edible of course) and fondant figures

I made this for my daughter's 3rd bday. She absolutely loved her "house cake" and was thrilled to see Snow White and all her buddies on the other cake! I made the "Durable cake for 3D and Wedding cakes" but used French Vanilla instead of white/yellow. Everyone just raved at how good it was...I must admit it was the best cake I've ever made, so delicious and moist.

Hi! This cake was iced in a bit of a hurry, so is a bit rough around the corners. The top is all fondant, the cake cream cheese pound cake with custard filling. The sides are just decorated with clean beads as I didn't have time to do anything else. We had a great party. Had to find Cinderella's lost slipper, pin the tail on the rabbit and made beautiful tiaras.

Uneven square "Scrap" Cake for practice. I used quick poured fondant for first time and was rather pleased. Used royal for decorations. Haven't tasted the whole poured fondant, BC, cake combo yet, should taste fine. Thanks, Antonia76 with fondant help.

This was a last minute order from a friend of ours for the 7 year old daughter's birthday. Her only requirement was that there was a snowman on it! Snowman, snowballs and present are fondant; ice cream cone trees with royal icing and powdered sugar "snow". Cake is white chocolate, dreamy creamy icing and edible pearls on sides.

White cake with strawberry filling. Decorated with decorator icing, and royal icing. Penguins, Polar bear, and Walrus are fondant. Block ice wall made with sugar cubes. Piping gel used for water and "chilly" ice accents!! Notice the humor incorporated into this wintery scene!

This is my first entry into a contest, so I hope it is received well. Made for a family Holiday party. Top layer white cake w/ apricot filling, bottom layer white cake w/ strawberry filling, MMF cover and snowmen, BC snowflakes. MA had just been hit w/ the first major snowfall of the season the night before this party, so i changed the cake theme & decorated till 2:30 am.

10" and 6" cakes iced in buttercream. White sparkles around snowlike edges. Snowman and snowmam are Christmas ornaments (I added the bouquet and veil). Snowflakes are also ornaments held on with royal icing.

I made this cake for my brother's birthday. He was going snowboarding the next week and since I had about 2 hours to bake and decorate a penguin was easier than a human! :)

Hands down my favorite cake. Got the idea on this site (thanks!). The penguins, fish and igloo tiles are fondant. Trees are sugar cones. Water is piping gel with blue food coloring. The igloo is the Wilton barbie doll cake pan (the dress). The cake was very time consuming but did not take much skill at all.

This cake was fun to make. The trees are made with pull out star on a sucker stick then dusted with powder sugar. Everything is made from buttercream icing.

The tree is an icecream cone covered with buttercream using #352. The candycanes are real candycanes. Powdered sugar created the "snow effect." Santa is a chocolate foil covered candy on a mini-Hershey's chocolate and candy canes for his sleigh.

I made this cake for my dad real quick in one night, so it's a little sloppy. However, it was a lot of fun. The front 2 penquins are sliding. The 2 on the right-hand side in front of the igloo are a father and daugher (to represent us) and then there are 5 penquins on the left sige of the igloo that are playing king of the hill. Oh and the penguin in the back right hand corner was made by my husband.

As you can guess, i made this for a snowboarding fanatic. I used Madiera cake for this as it is a little firmer to work with than sponge. Dead easy to do, only took me a couple of hours one the cake had cooled.

Did this for my birthday last year ... no one else was going to do me a cake so I thought I'd try this out of Debbie Brown's book. It's cute - I put a few animals in but other than that followed her instructions. It's all fondant!

The igloo is coverd with buttercream and the penguins and the fish are made of sourdough (experiment). The penguins were cracked when I took them out of the oven. I should have covered the board with more icing to give a snow look.
