Thank you so much! :) No, I cut out all of the characters by hand (out of fondant).

Beautiful! Did you use a cutter to make the Sesame Street characters?

Love this cake! Did you use extra deep bakeforms? Do you remember what were the sizes you used? 8 inch & 9 inch?

I made this for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She was Sesame obsessed at the time, yet I didn' t know how I was going to translate that into a cake...until I got this idea.
The blocks are done in fondant, decorated on all sides (except the bottom).

I made this for my cousin's son. I found pic of Elmo and modified it a bit to do this BCT. It was quite large and split at the neck when I flipped it onto cake but I think it still turned out ok. LOL. My aunt said the kids won't know and they don't care they just want to eat it!

BC frosting with 5 color flow pieces. Client did not want any colored icing on the cake. Cake did not travel well (50 miles) but the client was very happy and it tasted GREAT!

I did this cake a second time for my best friend's son's birthday along with an Elmo cake. This is a chocolate cake with buttercream icing. I used the iradescent edible flakes to make the trash can shine a little. This cake was a big hit at the party and I got a couple of orders from it!

My MMF is too soft for this cake and I had issues getting the fondant applied! I think the final result is ok but the back of the head...well I didn't take a photo of it for a reason! haha. The fondant is kinda messed up back there. Hope the customer does not mind too much!

This cake looked fine...until I moved it! :-( The arms are just icing and one side fell almost completely off! I fixed it for now but somehow this cake has to travel a whole hour tomorrow and I am just not sure if its going to make it. Its a large cake. The structure is sturdy but the icing is not so durable.

This was for a little girl's 2nd birthday celebration. All the characters on the cake are made of sugar. Elmo is her favorite, so he is on top........"Happy Birthday" is in a crayon style to represent Elmo's crayon skills during his segment of Sesame Street called "Elmo's World".

This was my first attempt at a whimsical cake, I always wanted to try it and thought my daughters 1st birthday would be the perfect oppertunity. I let my 3 year old daughter join in the fun and she got to decorated or color the secound tier in edible marker I thought this would be special for her to do for her little sisters birthday ...this cake was lots of fun! thank you to BKeith for the step by step instructions : )
