I made this for a little girl's first birthday. Her mom wanted a white puppy with hot pink nails and bow. I found the idea and basic instructions on a Texas cake club website that is no longer there. If you'd like the instructions, just PM me and give me your e-mail address.

My first sculpted cake. It was for my husband's birthday. I had to keep it simple enough for my daughter to help decorate.

I made this cake using the Wilton 3-D Lamb cake pan. Decorated using all stars. The nose was extended by adding a biscotti to the face and decorating around it.

The little boy that this cake was made for, got a labradoodle for his birthday and his mom wanted a puppy theme with a bone-shaped cake for his smash cake. Both are chocolate fudge cake with BC frosting (as is the dog), marshmellow bone and fondant ball.

3D dog carved and assembled from a 9X13 French Vanilla cake, iced in buttercream with a real bow for colour. The eyes are fondant with brown M&M's and the nose is fondant. It's supposed to be a Golden Retriever but I'll settle for just the Golden!

This is a cake I made for my daughters' 2nd birthday. It was a pink poodle theme. I got my inspiration from the paper plates and napkins that had pink poodles on them. THe puppy is sitting on a pillow with tassels. All made of cake!

This is a practice cake for a groom's cake I'm doing in July. It's strawberry cake with crusting cream cheese icing. I'm fairly happy with the result, but will make a few adjustments next time. I got the pattern from Caroleene, who I would like to again thank so much for sharing the instructions.

Here is my sculpted cake entry for the Capital Confectioners' Cake show in Austin Texas. My creative DH decided to take the pic outside. Puppy, squirrel, bone, and stump are sculpted cake. It is fondant covered and painted with a paintbrush. The board is covered in fondant and I used a star tip to give it texture. I used a veining tool and a toothpick for the stump texture. I used a toothpick to give the animals fur. I know you are going to ask. It took me a week and I missed a lot of sleep.

I made this as a thank you cake for my puppy's vets. She broke her leg and they basically just charged us for supplies, even though she had to have her cast changed every week and x-rays too!! It was chocolate fudge cake with cookies and cream pudding mix added, and covered in chocolate buttercream. Her picture is an edible image, and the sprinkles on the bottom border are little doggie-bone shapes! The docs LOVED it!!

Made for my niece's 6th birthday. She asked for pink cake with brown dogs. I used 6 inch cakes for the ends and a 10 inch square for the middle...cut to shape. All decorations are MMF.

This was a sculpted puppy cake I made for my son's first birthday. The doggy dish on the side was actually an extra cake I thought I needed for the puppy but didn't end up using so I turned it into the doggy dish for my little guy to dig into. I found the idea/instructions online somewhere but this was a year and a half ago and I can't find the info anywhere to give credit!

This is a cake that I donated to our school's silent auction. It's just a small cake (inspired by a Debbie Brown creation), but it sold for almost $50!
